There are several commands that Siri can understand on Apple's HomePod and HomePod mini that make it really easy to create and manage your calendar events, which sync to any iOS device signed into the same Apple ID as the smart speaker.

As long as you enabled Personal Requests during HomePod setup to let Siri access your messages, reminders, calendars, and more whenever your iOS device is on the same Wi-Fi network, then the following voice commands should work.

How to Add a Calendar Event on HomePod

To add a new calendar even, use the voice command:

  • "Hey Siri, add a calendar event."

Siri will then ask the date and time of the event. You can skip this step by initially saying something like:

  • "Hey Siri, add an appointment to my calendar on Monday at 1pm."

If you want to give the event a name, you can say:

  • "Hey Siri, add a calendar event named [chosen name]."

How to Check Your Calendar on HomePod

To check what's on your calendar, use the voice command:

  • "Hey Siri, what's on my calendar?"

To get information for calendar events on a particular day, say:

  • "Hey Siri, what's on my calendar for Wednesday."

How to Delete Calendar Events on HomePod

If you added an event incorrectly or want to delete a canceled event, use the voice command:

  • "Hey Siri, delete a calendar event."

Siri will read out a list of calendar events, allowing you to choose the one you want to remove. To remove a specific calendar event, use a voice command like:

  • "Hey Siri, delete the calendar event [event name]."

You'll then be asked to confirm the deletion. HomePod can only delete one event at a time, so if you have several events you want to delete, you're better off using your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, otherwise it's going to be a time-consuming process.
